YSC WEST COAST TOUR DE PINK READY TO ROLL!

West Coast Tour de Pink riders roll into Santa Barbara in the 2010 ride. To find out more about the YSC Tour de Pink, go to www.ysctourdepink.org.

For the second year, the YSC West Coast Tour de Pink will roll from Giant USA’s southern CA headquarters to Santa Barbara and then to Malibu over three days. Starting on Friday, October 14, more than 60 riders will hit the road to benefit the Young Survival Coalition. The YSC is the premier non-profit organization dedicated to providing support and education to young women affected by breast cancer.

Giant has sponsored Tour de Pink events on both coasts for four years. Last month, the East Coast Tour de Pink rolled from Morristown to Long Branch, NJ with more than 100 riders taking part to ensure that no young woman has to face breast cancer alone.

The Tour de Pink became a little more personal for Giant employees when Michelle Weiser, Giant’s Gear Marketing Manager, passed away in July 2010 after battling breast cancer for more than 2 years. Several Giant employees will be riding the West Coast Tour de Pink as part of “Weiser’s Army” – and to date they’ve raised more than $48,000 dollars for the Young Survival Coalition.
