Hart Wins Ride of the Year Award!
Giant Factory Team rider Danny Hart’s jaw-dropping gold-medal run at the 2011 UCI World Championships earned the 20-year-old the Ride of the Year award from British Cycling.
The award was decided by the public, which chose the ride of the year via the website of Great Britain's national governing body for cycling. They voted overwhelmingly in favor of Hart. Nearly 58 percent voted for his winning run in Switzerland; second place went to Mark Cavendish’s win at the 2011 Road World Championships.
In just his second pro season on the World Cup, Hart took the world by storm on his Giant Glory. He scored three World Cup podium finishes and then went on to have the run of his life on a rainy World Championships course in Champéry, Switzerland.
