Editor says ride, geometry, stability “suits me well.”

The December 1, 2010 issue of Bicycle Times devotes two pages to a thorough test of the Giant Rapid 2 On-Road Sport Fitness bike. Editor Adam Lipinski enjoys the number one feature of the entire Giant Rapid and Dash series of bicycles: the smooth, efficient ride of a road bike with the increased control and comfort of a flat handlebar. Here are some of Adam’s choice comments from his test of the Rapid 2:

“Old injuries to my neck and shoulders make the flat bar a better choice for me. I’m more at home in the upright position and my local streets tend to be in pretty bad shape; the large, 31.8mm-diameter bar makes bunny-hopping holes and small creatures a simple task.”
“All the tubes are tweaked, curved, and butted to create a very responsive, yet subtle ride. The frame has great lines.”
“The composite fork blends into the frame almost seamlessly with the integrated headset. The frame and fork combine quite well, creating a forgiving ride.”
“…the Rapid 2 has definitely opened me up to more possibilities of road riding. The stability offered from the combination of the geometry and flat handlebar suits me well.”
