GIANT TCR A W GETS NOTICED IN BICYCLING!!

November 21, 2007

There are some nice words about the Giant TCR A W in the January/February 2008 issue of Bicycling magazine. The TCR A W is part of the Giant for Women line of Competition road bikes, featuring Giant’s proprietary Alliance frame technology which takes advantage of the performance benefits of both aluminum and composite.

In the “Gear: Hot Bikes, Cool Parts, Field Tests” section, in an article titled “The New Look of Value” here is part of what editor Emily Furia writes:

"Our testers found the TCR A W rides more like carbon than aluminum and praised the frame's ability to mute road buzz. Giant's women's compact geometry also contributed to this bike's long-haul comfort: Our size medium had a slightly taller head tube and a shorter top tube than a men's medium, which made for a relatively upright, back-friendly position. The geometry made it an excellent standing climber—we found it easy to maintain a natural, relaxed posture—and the compact crankset let us sit and spin comfortably on long ascents. ...at $1500, the TCR A W is an excellent value for female cyclists who want to ride 100 miles, explore the countryside, or be queen of the mountain."
