The All New Liv/giant Anthem X 29er W: Queen of the Mountain
April 23, 2012
It's finally here, the first full-suspension 29er built specifically for women. The all-new Anthem X 29er W was created for one reason: to give women XC riders the confidence and performance of 29-inch wheels. More speed, stability and control on every trail.
Like all Liv/giant bikes, the Anthem X 29er W employs the 3F design philosophy, which stands for Fit, Form and Function. The top tube is shorter and slopes lower, which suits a female trail rider’s lower center of gravity. It also increases clearance, for more confidence and control on the trail. The lightweight ALUXX SL frame with Maestro Suspension is available in a wide range of sizes, from extra small to large.
After putting the new bike to the test on the Backbone Trail, Selene Yeager from Bicycling magazine wrote: “At first pedalstroke, I was struck by how light and responsive the bike is. When you say go, it does, with enthusiasm. The bike holds speed well and is very nimble. I enjoyed every advantage of the big wheels and never thought twice rolling down steep rocky pitches.”
