OverDrive

Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide solid front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.

FluidForm

Raw ALUXX SL tubesets are further refined through a complex series of processes that provide strength (extrusion), weight reduction (butting) and shape (forming). Two key Giant technologies—FluidForming and press forming—work together to eliminate gussets, improve stiffness and minimize any extra weight.

Gusset-Free Design

Most of Giant’s competitors use old-fashioned gussets, additional pieces of material that are welded to the outside of a tube junction to provide additional support. Giant pioneered and perfected the use of radically shaped tubesets that provide all the strength and stability of gusseted tubes without added material and welds.

ALUXX SL Aluminum

Formed from raw materials in Giant’s own forging facility, this proprietary alloy features 30 percent additional stiffness over traditional 6061-series aluminum. The increased stiffness allows engineers to use less material throughout the tubes, which results in lighter frames that never sacrifice strength or durability.

Perfect Pivots

Four strategically positioned pivot points and two linkages create a single floating pivot point. This improves pedaling efficiency by counteracting the pedaling forces that produce suspension compression or pedal kickback.

Maestro Activity

Maestro’s linear spring curve allows the rear suspension to be incredibly sensitive to small bump forces. And the floating pivot point actually lets the suspension remain completely active while braking, which keeps the rear tire in almost constant contact with the ground.

World Champion Geometry

Developed, tested and raced by World Champion Danny Hart, the 2013 Glory features reengineered frame geometry, including a 63.5-degree head angle, lower bottom bracket height and longer wheelbase. The ultimate combo for stability and speed.

Overview

WANT TO RIDE LIKE DOWNHILL WORLD CHAMPION DANNY HART? YOU CAN START BY GETTING ON HIS BIKE.

With 8 inches of fully active Maestro Suspension mated to a lightweight, super-strong ALUXX SL frame with a co-pivot shock mount, Glory is the only bike in the world that can keep up with DH World Champion Danny Hart. With all-new geometry developed for Hart and his Giant Factory teammates, plus the stout OverDrive steerer tube design, which provides supreme front-end stiffness and control in the rough stuff, it’s the ultimate confidence boost for the most aggressive gravity terrain.

WeightThe most accurate way to determine any bike’s weight is to have your local dealer weigh it for you. Many brands strive to list the lowest possible weight, but in reality weight can vary based on size, finish, hardware and accessories. All Giant bikes are designed for best-in-class weight and ride quality.
