LIAM KILLEEN TAKES 1ST PLACE IN LATEST RACE

Liam Killeen storms to 1st Place in the latest round of the British Mountain Bike Series

Liam Killeen stormed to victory over the weekend at the third round of the British Mountain Bike series at Wasing Park near Reading.

Despite terrible weather conditions and subsequent impact on the course Liam made a break on his XTC Advanced SL during the second lap leaving the competition trailing for the rest of the race.

Liam explained ‘Though not my preferred conditions the race felt good once we had set off and the body warmed up! The XTC felt great and superbly handled the quick and technical course - made predictably trickier in the wet conditions’

Tyre choice was imperative in the conditions with Liam opting for the Schwalbe Rocket Rons on his XTC Advanced SL to take him across the winning line.

Liam concluded ‘Despite the rain the 6 lap race was enjoyable and it was good to be out racing with guys who were all really up for it and going well’.

Liam’s next race is the World Cup Race at Mont St Anne, Quebec in Canada later this month.
