Overdrive
Giant’s original oversized fork steerer tube technology. Designed to provide solid front-end steering performance, the system’s oversized headset bearings and tapered steerer tube work in conjunction to provide optimal steering stiffness.
Powercore
A massively oversized bottom-bracket/chainstay area features a fully integrated, 86-millimetre-wide bottom-bracket design. Asymmetric chainstays provide additional stiffness on the driveside and stability on the non-driveside.
Vector Seatpost
This full-composite, lightweight (210 grams) and highly aerodynamic seatpost is engineered specifically for the unyielding demands of the performance-minded road rider. It offers increased fore/aft stiffness for maximum energy transmission, improved aerodynamics (compared to a traditional round seatpost) and two offset options (10 or 23 millimetres).
Gusset-Free Design
Most of Giant’s competitors use old-fashioned gussets, additional pieces of material that are welded to the outside of a tube junction to provide additional support. Giant pioneered and perfected the use of radically shaped tubesets that provide all the strength and stability of gusseted tubes without added material and welds.
AluxX-SL Ultralight-Edition Aluminium
Formed from the highest-grade raw material in Giant’s own forging facility. This all-new ultra-lightweight alloy features Giant’s leading edge tube manipulation techniques, resulting in 20% thinner butted tubing to create best-in-class weight savings. Unique Warm Forming construction technology further reduces weight throughout the headtube area while maintaining strength or stiffness

| Weight | How much does this bike weigh? It’s a common question, and rightly so. But the truth is, there are no industry standards for claiming bike weights—and this leads to a lot of misinformation. Variances exist based on size, frame material, finish and hardware. And as bikes get lighter, these differences become more critical. At Giant, we believe the only way to truly know the weight of any particular bike is to find out for yourself at your local retailer. |
