Michiel van der Heijden of the Rabobank-Giant Off-Road Team wrapped up his series title in the Under-23 Cross-Country World Cup Saturday with a podium finish at the finals in France. Van der Heijden rode his XtC Advanced SL to a fifth-place finish on a wet, muddy course in Val d’Isere.

In the elite men’s finals in Val d’Isere, Rabobank-Giant rider Fabian Giger wrapped up his top-10 overall placing with a solid ride on his XtC Composite 29er. The Swiss rider finished 11th at Val d'Isere, ninth overall for the 2012 World Cup season. Giger’s teammate Emil Lindgren finished 22nd in Val d’Isere, 24th overall on the season.
In women’s racing, Rabobank-Giant’s French rider Pauline Ferrand-Prevot ended up the season as the top-ranked Under-23 rider.
