The Rabobank-Liv team dominated the Ladies Tour of Norway over the weekend, with Anna van der Breggen, Marianne Vos and Katarzyna Niewiadoma sweeping the podium, finishing first, second and third respectively in the three-day stage race.

Vos won two of the three stages, the prologue and Stage 2, while van der Breggen took the general classification by winning Stage 1 in a solo breakaway.

Van der Breggen took over the lead when she attacked from a lead group of 5 in the 111km Stage 1 race from Stromstad to Halden, winning the stage on her Envie Advanced team bike. “[The team] did some attacks, and in the end it worked out perfectly,” said the 24-year-old Dutch rider.

The final stage featured 105km of hilly terrain in a circuit race that started and finished near the Fredriksten Fortress. Vos, the current world champion in road racing and cyclocross, won the stage while van der Breggen finished second to take the overall victory. Niewiadoma finished third on the stage to complete the team sweep.

“It was a great stage,” Vos said afterward. “It was harder than expected, and the weather conditions made it even tougher. The team was so good, we are really happy.”
