Competing for the first time with the full team roster, the 3 Exact Giant team members of Evan James, Ben Hogarth and Jackie Schapel combined perfectly with Giant Australia’s Craig Yates to completely dominate the 24hr Mixed Team of 4 category at the Kona Dirty Weekend. The team’s 37 laps was not only 10 more than their nearest rival in that class, but was also good enough to place second overall in the Open Team of 4 category being narrowly beaten by only 1 lap by Melbourne 24hr specialists Infrared Racing.

There were strong showings from all team members. Elite male rider Ben Hogarth led out with what was eventually the fastest day lap and continued that form with the fastest night lap and put in, along with Evan James, a massive 11 laps for the 24hrs. Elite Female rider Jackie Schapel also put in a strong performance to take out fastest day and night laps for female riders, and Craig Yates, despite his Downhill pedigree, showed his class with a superb supporting role and a solid 8 laps.

The team was full of praise for their Anthem X1 bikes which performed flawlessly on the varied terrain of the 10.9km course.
