Hart Top-5 With 1 World Cup To Go
August 10, 2011
Giant Factory Off-Road Team rider Danny Hart maintained his top-five overall ranking in the 2011 World Cup Downhill Series with a 13th-place finish at Sunday’s Round 6 in France. The 19-year-old Brit, who has several podium appearances in this year’s World Cup Series, rode his Giant Glory to a time of 2:15.6 on the short, technical course in La Bresse.
Hart now sits fifth overall in the series with one race left, the August 20-21 finals in Val di Sole, Italy.
Hart’s South African teammate Andrew Neethling, winner of the Air DH event at Crankworx Whistler a few weeks ago, crashed in his finals run in La Bresse but still managed to finish 33rd and preserve his top-15 overall series ranking. The third member of the squad, American Duncan Riffle, is 39th overall heading into the finals.
