Introducing the All-New 2015 Avail Range from Liv

Glowing Reviews for New Avail Road Range!

July 30, 2014

The all-new Avail range of women's-specific endurance road bikes was introduced a few weeks ago at a media event in Scotland. Not only is the entire range revamped with new frame technologies and disc brakes (for most models), but these are the first bikes to bear the Liv brand, which evolved from Liv/giant.

Liv invited editors from some of the top media outlets to test ride the new Avail range, and a number of positive reviews have been published online. Reporting on the Avail, Selene Yeager of Bicycling.com wrote: “Liv tuned the Avail geometry, which is slightly different from past models, to create a bike that is quick and light yet still comfortable on long rides.”

Yeager, who spent two days test riding the Avail Advanced SL 0, had these initial impressions: “On the road, the bike was extremely efficient. The Avail responded instantly to a push of the pedals, getting up to and holding speed quickly. It was a seemingly effortless climbing machine. It’s quick, yet stable through corners and is responsive without being twitchy.”

Liv also introduced a new collection of apparel at the launch. After testing the Liv Signature Bib Short, Heather Irvine of Total Women's Cycling, wrote: "The fabric was super soft yet rigid enough that I knew it would give me good support while riding, and the seamless bib straps were divine. The chamois also performed impressively. Breaking it in over two long rides on consecutive days, it kept my bottom pain free for the duration."
