(August 25, 2008) Riding the Giant TCR Advanced SL bicycle, Team Columbia’s Andre Greipel is leading the Eneco Tour in the Netherlands and Belgium after six stages.
The ProTour race is an eight-day stage event, which so far has experienced just about every conceivable weather condition. The race's combination of sprint finishes and Spring Classics courses is a tough one which will demand an all-around performance to take the overall title.
Greipel’s lead in the general classification is :11 seconds. He won the second stage of the event for his 10th season win. Team Columbia leads the team classification over Tom Boonen and his Quck Step teammates by :09 seconds.
