WORLD CUP SEASON ENDS FOR MTB TEAM

Adam Craig Shows Flair for Nature Photography   (September 19, 2007) The World Cup racing season has ended for the Giant Mountain Bike Team. All five members of the team competed in the final weekend of racing September 14 – 16 in Maribor, Slovenia.    US National XC and Super D Champion Adam Craig placed 12th in the Elite Men’s XC race and ended up 15th in the final World Cup Standings.   This great performance follows Adam’s first place finish a week earlier in the Single Speed World Championship in Fort William, Scotland.   In his regular blog at www.ridelife.net Adam recounts the “Ten Reasons Why World Cup Finals in Maribor, Slovenia, Kicked Butt.” You should read the blog to find out all ten reasons, but a few of them are listed below. Adam can write. He’s not a bad nature photographer, either…   (Three of) Ten Reasons Why World Cup Finals in Maribor, Slovenia, Kicked Butt By Adam Craig 1.    Um, we saw a Hedgehog.  Enough said.

  6.    There is a Mexican restaurant in Maribor.  Just what you need in the middle of a big ‘round the world racing push, some tortillas and salsa.  It was even good.  And I totally put the extra tortillas in my pocket for breakfast burritos…     MTB World Cup XC #6 and DH #5 Maribor, Slovenia, September 14-16, 2007 Giant MTB Team Outcome   Elite Men’s XC - Race Results
