Judith Arndt first place at the Thuringen Tour in Germany Stephen Schreck wins final stage of Tour of Saxony,

(July 30, 2007) The T-Mobile Team, both men and women, finished strong in three races over the weekend. Both the men’s and women’s squads ride the Giant TCR Advanced T-Mobile bicycle.

Overall in the Tour de France, Kim Kirchen placed 7th.   The T-Mobile Team had extreme highs in the 3 week grand boucle—like Linus Gerdemann’s epic, heroic Stage 5 win. The team also experienced extreme lows in the race—Mick Rogers and Patrik Sinkewitz crashing out, and Sinkewitz being accused of doping in a race earlier in the season.

Kirchen says of his best Grand Tour finish ever, “We’re all happy to reach Paris. I have my seventh place and I earned it - but, especially, the team earned it. During the first part of the Tour I was feeling very good. I had a very bad day in the Pyrenees but I continued to give everything especially yesterday in the time trial. It turned out well. I think I clinched one of the greatest results in my career.”

Judith Arndt stood atop the podium in first place at the finish of the Thuringen Tour in Germany. Considered the hardest race in the women’s pro tour, the Thuringen ended with Arndt just seconds ahead of Amber Neben of Team Flexpoint.

And finally, in the Tour of Saxony, Stephen Schreck of T-Mobile claimed the final stage. T-Mobile men won 4 of the 5 stages of the race.
