Bicycling Magazine Picks Two Giants

(May 16, 2007)
The Editors of Bicycling have have selected two Giant women's models as their "picks", the TCR Comp W and the Anthem W.

TCR COMP W
The editors of Bicycling have chosen the Giant TCR Composite W to answer the question, “What Bike Should I Buy?”
The question was posed by Kay Rhoades, of Saint Petersburg FL. She’s 4’ 10” tall, wants a new road bike, and has around $2000 to spend.   Bicycling picks the TCR Composite W for Kay and says: “Giant’s formulaOne composite technology isn’t just for the guys anymore—the same lightweight full carbon frame construction will have the ladies riding at the front of the peloton. Short-reach Shimano STI shift and brake levers will fit Kay’s smaller hands and let her operate the Ultegra rear derailleur with ease. Plus, the Giant is as comfortable as it is fast, with a woman’s handlebar and WTB Deva Team saddle.”   To read the full article, check out page 93 of the July 2007 issue of Bicycling. To see details on the TCR Composite W, click here.

ANTHEM W
Bicycling editors in the July 2007 issue recommend the Giant Anthem W for a consumer named Amber Wagner, a 26 year old woman who has moved to Alaska and wants to upgrade from her existing mountain bike and learn to ride single track.   Here’s what the magazine advises: “Compared with Amber’s heavy bike, this lightweight, nimble model will feel like it flies up climbs and around S-curves on swoopy trails.  The crisp Shimano Deore shifting and sharp-stopping Avid Juicy 3 disc brakes are also big upgrades from her current ride.” For full specs on the Giant Anthem W, click here.
