BIO

After taking part in his first Cheddar Challenge during the late eighties at the tender age of twelve, Bristol based Oli soon realised his talent and true passion was for mountain biking. What started off as a ‘fun challenge’ soon escalated into him being chosen for the 1994 Great Britain Mountain Biking team, and just a few years later, at the age of twenty-one, with his first major sponsorship under his belt, he decided to ditch his university course and concentrate fully on mountain biking as a career. Oli has come a long way in a

short space of time and believes that with his ability, desire and the Giant Anthem bike he now rides, he can go even further.

Summing up his immediate aims Oli stated “In 2007 the big one is the World Champs in Scotland. The Worlds’ is always the big event of the year but to be doing it in the UK is going to be awesome. Of course, I’ll also be looking to retain my national titles while making regular top 10 finishes in the World Cup. But for me personally, this year is all about building up to challenge for one of the top spots in the 2008 Olympics.”
