WORLD CUP ROUND 2, OFFENBURG, GERMANY

Oli Beckingsale rides his Giant Anthem Advanced

Oli Beckingsale continued his ride of the World Cup whirlwind this weekend at Round 2 in Offenburg, Germany.

The rooty singletrack and long steep drops of the course attracted huge crowds to see the start of the racing, with Oli starting on the 3rd row on his Giant Anthem Advanced thanks to his great result last weekend in Houfallize.

“I was looking forward to a decent start but then got a bit of a shocker and dropped to the 40’s.” said Oli, who then fought hard to try and move up the grid, finishing in 30th place overall. Meanwhile team mate and fellow Giant rider Adam Craig had a great race, finishing in 8th place on his Giant XTC Advanced.

Oli is now placed 23rd overall, with World Cup Round 3 coming up this weekend in Madrid where Oli and Adam will be back in action before heading to the Alps for training.
