GREAT START TO ITU WORLD CUP IN AUSTRALIA

Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia 1st April 2008

Giant UK Triathletes made a great start to the World Cup race year in Mooloolaba this weekend. Helen Tucker raced her first World Cup race in 12 months to finish 13th in a very strong field, again lifting her World ranking, she is now inside the top 40 in the World. Liz Blatchford came 17th in what was also her first World Cup race for some time after returning from injury and being hit off by a car earlier in the year.

In the men’s race Olly Freeman had a fantastic start coming 6th with a very strong performance on one of the toughest courses on the World Cup circuit, Richard Stannard also had a solid race, coming 23rd.
