HELP SUPPORT CAMPAIGN FOR SAFER CYCLE ROUTES IN THE UK

Do you ever wonder what life would be like if we could travel in ways that actually improve our health and the environment? We’d have safer communities, cleaner air and a better quality of life.

Sustrans’ Connect2 is a real chance to achieve this in 79 communities across the UK. Connect2 plans to create networks of new walking and cycling routes for the local journeys we all make every day. Bridges and new crossings will be built over barriers such as busy roads, rivers and railways, making it possible for people to walk and cycle to work, to the shops, to school and to green spaces.

The support of local people is vitally important to make Connect2 a reality. Connect2 is competing against five other projects for a single grant of £50 million from The Big Lottery Fund’s Living Landmarks: The People’s Millions, with the winner to be decided by public television vote this December.
