Giant XC rider Oli Beckingsale has hit close to his top form just prior to the World Championships with a win in Hungary this past weekend.
Oli was looking for a race that would test his legs to check that he was fully recovered from his recent illness and the Category 1 status (plus the strength of the field) at the Hungary Cup appeared to be the ideal place to do this. His judgement was spot on as Oli led Polish rider Marek Galinski from the start and finished first with a margin of over two minutes.
Oli had this to say about the race:
"With the Worlds three weeks away its great to get a big win in the bag. My form seems to be coming good at the right time."
