DOWNHILL TEAM UPDATE

After a start ot the season that has been injury plagued it was good to see all of Giant UK's Downhill Team in action this past weekend.

Rob Warner, Tom Braithwaite and new member, Kate Curd, all took part in the British Cycling National Championships at Rheola, Wales. It was a comeback ride for both Rob (he had only come out of plaster on the Friday afternoon and is now the proud owner of a bionic ankle) and Tom which meant they were unable to achieve their goal of a top ten finish. However, Tom did superbly to bag 12th with a time of 3:25:734 which promises great things for the rest of the season. Rob finished further down the field but said it was good to be back racing and can't wait for the next event.

These results were achievement enough but the boys were both topped by Kate's performance. By completing the course in 4:31:77 Kate was the fastest Junior Female and was therefore crowned National Champion. Congratulations Kate, the boys certainly have a lot to live up for the rest of the season!
