I played a few sports in my teens but never seemed to make a mark. I found myself good at distance running and looked into doing triathlons. While shopping for a tri bike I found a flyer for a mountain bike race. I took my old bike and went to the race. It was cold, wet and muddy and I suffered through the whole race. Sadly my brain told me this was good for me and I have been hooked ever since.
