Bos Wins in Denmark!
7 Αυγούστου 2011
Rabobank rider Theo Bos sprinted to victory in Sunday’s final stage of the Tour of Denmark. The 27-year-old Dutchman, a five-time World Champion in track racing, powered his Giant TCR Advanced SL to the win, beating second- and third-place finishers Sacha Modolo and Manuel Belletti, both from Italy, to win the 162.4-kilometer stage from Hillerod to Frederiksberg.
Bos’s Rabobank teammate Oscar Freire, the three-time World Champion from Spain, set him up for the win with a perfect lead-out in the closing meters. Bos made the most of the opportunity, dashing to his fourth road win of the 2011 season.
Bos’s win capped a successful week of racing for the Rabobank squad in Denmark. The team’s lone Danish rider, Matti Breschel, rode to two podium stage finishes and wore the leader’s jersey after the second stage of the five-day race.
