A two-time winner and of Ironman Europe, Timo Bracht has been one of the world’s most prolific Ironman triathletes over the last decade. The 35-year-old has won Ironman races in Florida, South Africa, France, Germany and Arizona, setting several course records along the way.
Bracht, who lives in Eberbach, Germany, partnered with Giant at the start of the 2009 season. Riding a prototype version of a cutting-edge triathlon and TT bike that would become the 2010 Giant Trinity Advanced SL, Bracht has had his best seasons on the bike the last two years. His bike split at the 2010 Ironman Hawaii was the fastest among the top-10 men.
Bracht races for the Germany-based Commerzbank Triathlon team and this year is once again focusing on the sport’s biggest prizes including the sport’s grandest prize, Ironman Hawaii. He has been a consistent threat at the race, collecting six top-15 finishes in Kona.
