I grew up in Australia with a good crew of friends. The weather is nice, we have lots of skateparks, the people are friendly, and there are lots of trees. People always ask me why I would move from there to the desert and strip malls of Corona, California. I see their point--Brisbane is beautiful, and my family is there, along with my two main mates Robbo and Luke. And my mom’s cooking is a reason to visit in itself! I make it a point to spend a few months out of my year back home in Brisbane.

The rest of the year, I love being in California. My boy Dave Dilleward and I wake up late, meet up with Heath and Biz to ride the trails, play with R/C cars, hit the

skateparks, and hang out with the whole crew when the day is over. Heath and I have a buddy named Lonnie who lives right down the street, but is gone most of the year playing football for the New England Patriots. So naturally, we have our personal dream trails in Lonnie’s front yard! A few hours a day with the shovel and hose keep them groomed to perfection. On the weekends I make sure I go surfing whenever possible.

I love riding in contests, and I always try my hardest, but I still only consider it one aspect of riding. My friends and family, progression, and living each day to the fullest are my first priorities.
